Opinion on Avril Lavigne:

Lately, I have been hearing a lot of talk about Avril Lavigne, some good and some bad. So many people are putting her down, saying that she's a poser and she has no sense of style. I started thinking about this a while ago, and my first thought was "why?". I don't see why people are calling Avril a poser. I mean, when she says she skateboards, she actually does. It's not like she's trying to be someone who she's not. Her songs may not be punk, but her attitude is. She doesn't care what anyone thinks of her and she shows this quite a bit. As for her sense of style, it's pretty cool and original if you ask me. How many girls have you seen wearing a tie and guy's pants? I think that she's giving a positive message to kids, saying "hey, you know what? You don't have to dress like Britney Spears or Christina Aguilera to be cool." Most parents would probably rather their girls dress like Avril than Christina any day, especially if they went out looking like Christina in the new Dirrty video. Recently Avril said that she does have a nice body, but she would really prefer not to show everyone it.

Avril Lavigne is only eighteen years old and she has a platinum cd. She's toured places all over the world and has three singles out with three music videos, this really shows how talented she is. She has one personality, not five different ones that she uses for interviews, at home, with her firends, public places and wherever else she goes. In a recent interview with Ed The Sock on MuchMusic, she was asked what she thought about a "Skateboarding Avril" action figure. Avril then bluntly replied "uhhhhh, no, that's dumb."
